Tania Goldfeder, LCSW
Tania is a New Mexico native and began her journey with the University of New Mexico as a student of Fine Arts in 1997. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and then worked as a professional artist, portrait photographer and yoga teacher for many years. In 2015 Tania began studying social work with New Mexico State University where she graduated with honors, earning a master’s level social work degree. Social work has allowed Tania to contribute to improving well-being for local people from diverse populations and stages of life. Creativity and problem solving remain enduring qualities in Tania’s work.
Tania is a skilled clinician who uses a holistic strength-based and solution-focused approach to meet people where they are. She believes that everyone has the innate capacity to become the best version of themselves and that people continue to grow and learn over their lifespan. Tania is experienced in the areas of trauma processing and recovery, grief processing, substance use concerns, interpersonal issues, adjustment to major life change, parenting concerns, and the management of anxiety or depression.
Tania has a depth of knowledge in the areas of yoga breathwork and meditation, skills which often inform her clinical work. Tania is pleased to be a part of the University of New Mexico community and welcomes the opportunity to assist the faculty and staff to grow and thrive personally and professionally.
