About CARS Staff
All of us at the University of New Mexico face a variety of issues in our daily lives. Most of the time we are able to cope with these problems on our own. There are times when our problems might become too difficult to handle alone. Our relationships, our work, and our health can begin to suffer. The University of New Mexico established UNM Counseling Assistance and Referral Services (CARS) to respond to the human needs of its staff and faculty members.
The CARS staff includes licensed psychologists, licensed professional clinical counselors, and licensed clinical social workers.
Professional support staff coordinate scheduling of clients and other office duties. All staff must adhere to confidentiality rules and regulations, and possess relevant education and training.
