Make Your Appointment

To schedule an appointment call us weekdays from 8AM to Noon, and from 1PM to 3:30PM.

When you call CARS, a staff member will schedule an appointment for you with one of the CARS clinicians, as soon as possible, at a time convenient for you during normal business hours. New patient's appointments wait time to be seen by a clinician varies but is typically two to three weeks from the date the first appointment is set.

You usually will not be able be seen that day or get an appointment for the next day. This is primarily due to the fact that the CARS clinicians are busy seeing their returning clients in addition to new clients previously scheduled and/or are conducting workshops.

None of the information obtained by CARS becomes a part of any employment or personnel records. The information is confidential and is only released with the client's written permission within the limits of applicable law and ethical guidelines.

Due to limited staff resources and only being able to provide short term counseling we are sorry to say we cannot provide counseling services for staff/faculty/retiree's family members. What we recommend is that if you need help dealing with an issue which involves a family member that you schedule an appointment to come in for an individual counseling session. During that appointment you can then speak with one of our clinician's in detail about your family members specific issues. After which you can then get a targeted referral for an outside organization in the greater Albuquerque area that can provide you the needed counseling services for your family member which accepts your insurance.
